Father's Day

I hope Frank enjoyed his day. I had to go to work in the morning (ofcourse very early as to not impact the day) but I was only there for about two hours. When I got home I reminded the girls that it was Fathers Day and they went running into him yelling "Happy Fathers day". After the big hugs they then yelled present time and went running into those room where the presents were. Frank loved all of his gifts but I think he loved the cardinal picture and the silly pictures of the girls the best. Happy Fathers day Frank.

skating

Kayley got these skates about a year or so ago. We have not played with them much and I am not sure why but I got them out the other day and walked them up to the little park by our house. Kayley of course very concerned that I forgot the helmet. I know bad mommy. She got over it quickly and she only waned to hold my hand for a minute instead of me helping her the whole way.
Maddi on the other hand was a little green. We are reading the bearenstien bear book the green eyed monster. She eventually went to play but this was a very sweet picture.
Kayley finally got tired of her skates and said maddi could use them. This of course was the highlight of her morning. She did really good but by the time maddi was ready for the skates it was getting quite hot. But big sister was there to help her just in case she fell down.

photo shoot

I had an idea that the girls would make frank a picture frame for his office for father's day. I first let the girls paint and decorate the picture frames.
The twist was that the pictures would be silly instead of the regular happy smiling posed pictures that I always get. I loved this idea and so did the girls.
Here are some shots from our picture session.
I think the frames turned out wonderful and the girls loved them.

is there a doctor in the house

The other weekend when both girls were sick they took it upon themselves to treat their illnesses. They both took turns being the patient and the doctor would come tell me the diagnoses and what they thought would cure it. Did you know that lollipops can cure just about anything. Well if you ask Dr Maddi she will tell you it is a miracle cure.

grandpa came to visit

Grandpa Clyde got here just in time to read stories to my sickly baby. We were so excited because he got here earlier than we had anticipated. It was a good thing too since my step mom is a registered nurse she probably saved us a fortune by calming me down enough to not take Kayley to the hospital. Mostly she said I was doing everything right and she would not do anything different in the ER. That made me feel much better.
The girls were just so excited that be was going to stay with us. Every morning about 6:00am they wanted to wake him up. I tried to explain to them that grandpa didn't have the same schedule as we did and that waking him was not really polite. Of course they did not understand but when grandpa did wake up the girls were all over him. It was so nice to have him at the house.
Grandpa was here on his birthday so we took him out for dinner. The girls originally wanted to make him chocolate chip cookies but when they saw the cookie cake it was all over. We tried to sing Happy Birthday to Grandpa but I think it has been so long since he celebrated his birthday that he for got how the song went and he blew out is candle during the first verse.
Grandpa had a short visit and we didn't get to do much since Kayley was so sick but of was still a wonderful visit. I always love it when he visits. I think that maybe in one more year I might me brave enough to take the girls to Arkansas to visit the farm. Maybe.

meet the principal

Last week I went to Kayley's new school to meet her principal. I think Kayley is going to love her school. The school she is going to be going to is a theatratical arts school. And what a better school for my little drama queen. I also love that they have only 25 kids in her class and each teacher has a full time aide. After our meeting where ofcourse my little drama queen was shy it hit me that I am going to have a baby who is in kindergarten. That is very wrong. As much as I love watching her grow up I hate it just as much.

dining with royality

Did you know that I dine with royalty. You may have guessed by the title of my blog but would you haves guessed that they would be as messy and as frizzy as this? But if you guessed all of the above did you guess that I was a queen? The girls told me over and over again that I was queen and the bestest cook ever.
